Minneapolis is one of the few cities in Minnesota that softens water at a centralized softening plant.  This saves customers the expense of buying and maintaining a softener. The softening plant removes around 32 tons of minerals from city water every day. The minerals removed are used to help neutralize soil on Minnesota and Wisconsin farmlands.  Minneapolis is in Hennepin County.  Click here to search county property records by address.  (Owner, assessed value, property taxes, most recent sale information, map, legal description, etc.)

Building permit history on Minneapolis homes is available online. The online information includes a Truth in Sale of Housing report on homes listed for sale.  This report is NOT a buyer's inspection and often has information that is incomplete or inaccurate, however it is important to read the Truth in Sale of Housing report BEFORE signing a purchase agreement.

Minneapolis has loans programs for qualifying first time home buyers. (To assist in down payment and closing costs.)   Click here for more information on this program
